The subject matter is everything equine – perhaps the beauty of a newborn foal, the athleticism of an equestrian athlete, or the humour of your horse as he plays in the paddock.
You’ve got until June 1 to get snapping, and send in your images. The entries will be judged by NZ Horse & Pony editor, Rowan Dixon, and professional equine photographer, Trish Dunell, and the winners and finalists published in the July issue.

How to enter
Take your picture, and either post to NZ Horse & Pony photo competition, PO Box 12-965, Penrose, Auckland by June 1, along with your name, address and daytime contact details, and an sae if you’d like your photograph returned. Or e-mail your image to editor@horse-pony.co.nz, with photo competition as the subject line. Digital images must be at least 300dpi, and 10cm by 10cm. Please include your name, address and daytime contact details in your e-mail. You can enter as often as you like.

Rules and conditions:
The competition is open to all readers of NZ Horse & Pony magazine, excluding professional photographers, employees of Fairfax (NZ) ltd, Canon (NZ) ltd, their agencies and immediate families. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Prizes are as stated and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash. NZ Horse & Pony reserves the right to publish entries in any form it chooses.
